    Okay, seriously? You

Okay, seriously? Your blog is, like, my own pesnoral suicide hotline from my kitchen remodel materials decision agony. I, too, adore white. It makes me feel so good. When we moved into this 1975'ish house, we scraped the wallpaper, yanked the heavy drapes (a Waverly bomb exploded in this home), and painted. I painted the den, living room, and kitchen white. Kitchen: Mountain Peak. Den ended up being a custom color because of how many times I took it back to the Benjamin Moore store to remix it to approximate a very pale taupe, but the original looked pink; and the living room is Super White with a (gasp!) Hot Spice accent wall which will promptly be painted over since I read your post about accent walls. Yes, I love the white. And then Revere Pewter entered my life. We painted the master bath RP with crisp white trim, and I feel so airy in that room. The den is also RP now, and it should come as no shock to me that some force beyond my control chose a pewter-stain/wash cabinet for the kitchen we're finally remodeling. (The dark, 70's wood cabinets we refreshed with black paint in 04 just finally wore out.) So I'm having a very, very hard time staying on track with the white love. I keep trying to restrain myself from using more black (mantle in adjoining den was painted black, and I painted white and black stripes on the paneling behind the book cases); but the cabinets look gorgeous with the darker granites. I need to hire someone to order my white quartz countertops for me next week so I don't do something stupid! Thanks for listening! ACK! I'm losing it!
